Position Summary:
The Accounts Payable Specialist will process invoices for payment for multiply companies using Image Now and JDE Oracle accounting system.
Essential Functions:

  • Enter information from invoices to Image Now, perform General Ledger coding, route invoices to the appropriate business units for approval, and follow-up to ensure timely payment.
  • Prepare and process schedule check runs - daily, weekly, bi monthly and/or as needed.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status or discrepancies and internal inquires related to accounts payable activity.
  • Request W9 information for new vendor maintenance.
  • Assist with other projects or general office support.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalent (Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree (4-year) preferred)
  • Minimum of 2-4 years related experience;
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Strong analytical skills and must be attentive to details.
  • Proficient knowledge of accounting software systems.
  • Must have basic knowledge of accounting principles and theory (debits and credits, accrual accounting, matching principle, materiality, balance sheet versus P&L accounts, etc.) and able to put this theory into practice.
  • Hands-on experience working with multiple companies/legal entities and ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask on various daily duties and ad-hoc assignments
  • Ability to access and accurately input information using JD Edwards.
  • Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with minimal direct supervision.
  • Ability to shift priorities considered necessary to accomplish prioritized tasks in a high-paced, results oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a team, high-paced results oriented environment
  • Experience with high-end accounting systems such as JD Edwards, Oracle, PeopleSoft, or SAP
