Position Summary:Responsible for the Accounts Payable function and support to AR and Office services. Also provides support as required to Finance team.


Job Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable Clerk-
  • Process Corporate, GWR, GAS and GSAC vendor invoices, check requests, wire transfers (foreign and domestic).
  • Audit and process T&E Reports for Corporate, GWR, GAS and GSAC.
  • Research/resolve supplier and T&E problems/issues as required.
Accounting & Reporting -
  • Support the monthly/quarterly Financial Closing. Develop and process journal entries for Purchasing Card, Travel and Expense, Tool Crib Expenses, Inventory in transit and other accruals/adjustments as required.
  • Account analysis/reconciliation, including Accounts Payable, Liabilities and Petty Cash General Ledger
  • Assist Finance function with other accounting duties/projects as assigned.
  • Update and distribute Tool crib reports (Weekly & Monthly)
AR Cash application –
  • Apply customer payments against the related open AR
  • Support AR function with cash application
Back up responsibilities –
  • AP Manager – Payment runs, Concur & Corporate credit card programs, Sales tax
  • Office Services – Order supplies, Equipment service calls, Mail, Maintain directories
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
  • Two years or more experience in Accounts Payable and/or General Accounting in a Finance environment.
Preferred Education/Training/Experience:
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting or other related field.
  • 2+ to 5 years of experience
Computer Skills:Microsoft Office, including high proficiency with Excel Outlook Internet SAP Modules: Finance and Material Management (Receiving/Purchasing)
