Job Summary
The Accounts Payable Processing Analyst will report directly to the AP/AR Manager – Shared Services and will take a leadership role in standardizing processes and internal controls related to Accounts Payable across the company. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to drive change, working in a dynamic, cross-functional, and global environment with an experienced finance team. This person will serve as a business partner and Subject Matter Expert of certain day-to-day tasks related to accounts payable transactions, facilitating Procure to Pay initiatives, managing various other cross functional duties as assigned, in a supported Shared Services environment.
Responsibilities
Administer accounts payable including international transactions, establish and maintain consistency across the business, and help to maintain a “best-in-class” accounts payable functionAssist with internal controls process improvement
Routinely monitor payment activity for accuracy and fraud/risk factors
Identify ways to mitigate payments fraud and explore other opportunities for enhanced security, as it relates to payments
Take ownership of integrating new acquisitions into Oldcastle APG’s Procure to Pay processes, including data migration and providing training as needed
Establish quality monitoring activities and standards related to Accounts Payable department which may include utilization of KPIs, training/retraining, and other activities. Perform monitoring activities proactively
Troubleshoot and address urgent issues related to accounts payable that occur
Perform and/or review monthly account reconciliations related to accounts payable, accrued expenses, and other clearing accounts
Oversee weekly payment runs, miscellaneous wires and other payments
Manage and monitor global vendor master lifecycle through a Workflow administration and ERP database
Administer the Purchase card program and T&E programs through Concur and by liaising with Oldcastle APG’s banks and solution partners on process improvement opportunities
Interact with internal and external auditors and assist with related deliverables
Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree, in accounting preferred, with 5+ years’ overall experienceKnowledge of best practices around accounts payable internal controls
Experience using Infor M3/Lawson, Ephesoft
Proficient in Microsoft Office suites and other business intelligence solutions
Possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, detail orientation, decision making and communication skills
Preferred
5+ years’ experience with Accounts Payable
Experienced Concur, Wex, and Purchase-Card administration
Must possess integrity, discretion, and the ability to appropriately manage information, the ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, growth-oriented business environment and a flexible professional demeanor with self-directed work approach.
Sound judgement, strong critical thinking, and multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize workload effectively
Savvy with technology including use of web-based platforms
Adaptability/flexibility which includes being open to change and business behavioral shifts
