Summary:
The mission of the Accounts Payable position is to ensure that all vendor invoices are properly classified by department and category, paid in a timely manner, and accounts payable records are kept organized and up to date. The Payroll Clerk duties include review of manager approved time cards, gathering information and performing calculations necessary to calculate earnings; entering and importing payroll information, and posting the transactions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain payables control;
- Post invoices, prepare checks, mail and reconcile statements ensuring accuracy between departments and intercompany transactions;
- Monitor open purchase orders for missing invoices;
- Maintain control of posted documents;
- Complete end-of-month accounting reports;
- Represent the dealership to its customers and vendors in a professional and friendly manner;
- Process the bi-weekly payroll in a timely and accurate manner including the gathering of relevant data and performing calculations related to compensation payable;
- Posting of payroll transactions;
- Submission of 401(k) deposits with third party provider;
- Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
Business management or accounting degree is preferred. A combination of education and relevant experience will be considered. Must have at least one year of payroll experience at a minimum.
Must possess strong analytical skills and have a high attention to detail.
Must have the ability to utilize basic office equipment including phone, computer, copier, fax, etc
Communication/Language Skills:
Excellent communication skills in person, on the phone, and in writing
