Accounts Payable Clerk – Treasury, World Learning

Reports to: Treasury Manager

Location: Brattleboro, VT

Vaccination is required for all employees in our US offices except for those receiving medical or religious exemptions. If boosters are subsequently recommended by the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) then employees and faculty will be required to receive the booster within thirty (30) days of their eligibility to access the boosters.

General Description: The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing World Learning’s payables according to World Learning’s policies. Will also be responsible for new vendors, and the tracking of W-9’s. This position will process ACH, Wire Transfers, and checks using banking software.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Maintain the vendor files according to World Learning’s data standards.
• Obtain, track and verify vendor tax data (e.g. W-9, W-8 BEN)
• Vendor relations and research as it pertains to accounts payables
• Process ACH and Wire Transfers using banking software
• Print checks
• Process accounts payable related journal entries
• Review 1099 information for accuracy
• Support Treasury functions as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Associates Degree or 3 years of experience with accounts payable or bookkeeping.
• Excellent computer skills – inclusive of Excel and Word.
• Detailed oriented with good analytical and research skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and excellent organizational skills
