Global Supplier Services (GSS) manages the source-to-pay cycle, engaging with suppliers, negotiating contracts, conducting risk assessments and evaluating the customer experience. Job Description

GSS - Technology Product Management, is responsible for overseeing all technology platforms for Global Supplier Services businesses. The existing product suite that supports these businesses vary in terms of development and hosting models including internally developed software hosted on JPMC infrastructure to Software as a Service hosted in third party cloud providers. These include products related to supplier selection (e.g. Ariba), supplier payment (e.g. SAP), supplier risk management (e.g. COMPASS and 4Site), contingent labor management (i.e. Beeline), employee expense management (e.g. Concur and smartApproval) and others. The organization maintains a service-oriented relationship with key leaders and stakeholders across GSS to ensure the technology platforms serve their needs and are properly maintained. The Technology Product Management team sets the strategic direction for the GSS technology roadmap and is staffed with product managers responsible for one or a collection of products. The team captures business requirements from end users, collaborates closely with design, and partners with software engineers to manage the entire life cycle for all GSS technology products. The team is also responsible for product innovation, product positioning, business case, product experience, and go-to-market strategies.

The Product Owner for Accounting, Fixed Assets & Tax is responsible for the products that support Accounting and Fixed Assets (SAP suite of tools), and Indirect Tax (PTMS, Vertex, etc.). As a Product Owner, you must be able to lead a team of tech engineers and business operations teams to ensure product delivery, innovation, and user experience are at the forefront of the objectives for the team and the product; collaborate closely with peer Product Owners to deliver on cross-functional and cross-platform initiatives, identify opportunities for simplification across the business objectives of all GSS businesses, and be able to evangelize the product vision for the Accounting, Fixed Assets & Tax product.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Product Owner to multiple engineering scrum teams
  • Find and define the root problem motivating feature requests you'll receive
  • Define and drive business requirements analysis, functional specifications, and conceptual approach for product features and capabilities
  • Decompose features into discrete user stories that accurately reflect user requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Use a prioritization framework to evaluate product features and priorities for adoption. Coordinate the delivery of features and enhancements through the release process
  • Assist with quality assurance (QA) and user acceptance testing (UAT), providing guidance to thoroughly test and verify product features and functionality
  • Develop strategies to support product vision and map strategic path forward in a product roadmap
  • Be expert on the product and able to answer the toughest questions about how it works
  • Partner with technology counterparts including QA professionals and other product managers to coordinate planning, delivery, and support of cross-functional product features and capabilities.
  • Partner with analytics team to monitor KPI performance and outcomes of new features

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years in software Product Management
  • Experience as Product Owner in SCRUM team
  • Agile experience using development tracking tools (JIRA, JIRA Align)
  • Strong analytical and proactive problem-solving skills with a customer service driven focus
  • Strong technical experience or ability to pick-up process and technology concepts quickly
  • Comfortable presenting to a large group & ability to lead a meeting with difficult participants
  • Effective prioritization and time management skills
  • Ability to be persuasive and influential when you have no direct authority
  • Motivated self-starter who is able to work independently and take ownership
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment with changing priorities
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Preferred experience in SAP (SHANA, R3) and Tax applications (PTMS, Vertex)
