Responsibilities

Address: 100% remote, and can be located anywhere in US (preferably in Central Time Zone)

Pay Rate: $18.75/hr

Start Date: 8/29/22

Length: ************* year contract with possibility to convert to perm

Interview: MS Teams

What the leader would like to see in new candidates:

  • Ideally a Bachelor degree in Accounting
  • 1+ years of accounting experience in more a junior role (accounting clerk, accounts payable, accounting assistant, etc.) Not looking for a Senior level accountant.
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Ability to grasp numerical information
  • Outgoing personality and an excellent communicator
  • Highly productive

2. Please describe the project work, and what do day-to-day responsibilities look like:

  • Preparation of projects that all make up the total client deliverables for reports, statements, distributions.
  • Working on custom Excel reporting for large ESOP clients as well as custom ESOP participant statement programming and preparation

3. What technologies or systems will this contingent worker be utilizing?

  • Microsoft – needs to be very versatile in Excel.

If a candidate does not have all the technologies listed, would there be technologies you would consider “similar” and/or “transferable” for this position?

  • Ability to learn quickly – accuracy and attention to detail is a MUST – Excel is required. The system(s) and share drives can be taught. Excel is the most important item.

4. What skills are you looking for in the ideal candidate?

Preferred – Excel knowledge a must

  • Fast Learner / Enjoys-good with numerical – all numbers!
  • High Attention to Detail, Accuracy a MUST
  • Highly productive – this is a very fast-paced environment / must be able to work OT / – ability to WFH and be Independent to a large degree

7. What is the size and culture of the team?

  • Very fast paced. Work Hard/Play Hard Culture.
  • Currently have about 65 people working in this business unit.
  • This individual would work as part of a small team of ************* individuals who work closely on specific client work

8. Will this person interact with any other Principal departments?

  • Yes – Help Desk call to IT for help with their laptop, software, etc., 401k administrator, relationship managers, ESOP consultants

9. Is this role needing someone to sit on-site, or work remote?

  • Can be 100% Remote (preferably located in the Central Time Zone)

Will remote workers be required to work on-site once things normalize?

Not at this time.

11. What does the interview process look like for this opening? (30 minutes, 60 minutes, etc.):

  • one ************* minute interview with both managers

12. Any additional comments or requirements you’d like to mention for this role?

  • We’ve had good luck with college recruits from: Actuarial/Mathematical. Must be able to use Excel and be very good with numerical data and overall productive – eager to work and learn.
