Job Description

Job Summary
The Accounting Services Representative is responsible for Accounts Receivable and Business to Business cCollections which includes, collecting on unpaid balances and working with other departments to resolve client issues.

Tasks and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Correspond with clients for payment.
  • Interface with other departments to resolve all disputes raised by client.
  • Provide support/documents to client as requested.
  • Conduct research on unpaid and disputed invoices.
  • Escalate unresolved disputes.
  • Generate Dunning Letters.
  • Manage and update daily system generated tasks.
  • Make contact with relevant parties via all forms of communication
  • Inform clients of their payment status and/or delinquency of account.
  • Negotiate settlements and/or establish a viable payment plan.
  • Be persistent in contacting clients.
  • Address questions, complaints, or suggestions
  • Follow up on late payment notices.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Some Collections experience preferred, Customer Service experience a plus.
  • Strong English language verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and other departments
  • Working knowledge of PC software; Excel and Word preferred
  • Ability to handle self under pressure with professionalism, calmness and tact
