Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated Accounting Manager to oversee the Accounting team and continue to scale the function to be best in class. This role will be a thought leader and mentor and help identify best practices for month end close, internal controls and all general accounting matters. You will be responsible for all corporate and international general ledger accounting, including intercompany and consolidations and lead a best-in-class month end close process. - Manage and mentor the Accounting team and play a key role in career development of team
- Drive the month-end close process, partner with Business Systems team to automate processes, and drive towards a five-day close
- Prepare monthly reporting package for review with upper management, including income statement and balance sheet variance analysis, statement of cash flows, and other key reporting
- Review account reconciliations monthly and ensure any adjustments are booked timely
- Review stock-based compensation, including employee and non-employee equity under ASC 718
- Implement new leasing accounting under ASC 842 and identify the proper platform to utilize for recurring transactions
- Review foreign currency transactions and gain/loss under ASC 830 and partner with FP&A to forecast impact on the income statement
- Prepare and review international accounting under both US GAAP and IFRS
- Lead annual audit with external auditor including managing deliverables and communicating progress and any issues timely to management for efficient audit
- Identify, implement, operate SOX internal controls and play a key role in maintaining an effective control environment
- Develop and document formal policies and procedures in compliance with SEC and public company reporting standards
- Work cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, Accounting Operations, Engineering, Revenue Operations, IT, Sales, and other functions
- Maintain and enhance an environment of accountability and professionalism
- Clearly define expectations to the team and to management to create and maintain a highly functional team
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 8+ years of Accounting experience, preferably in a high growth SaaS company
- Big 4 experience
- CPA or equivalent
- Prior supervisorial experience
- Knowledge of Zuora, NetSuite and FloQast
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Successful in building cross-departmental relationships
