We are currently seeking an Accounting Clerk to join the team at the home office in Urbandale, IA.
This position delivers a full range of administrative support services to the Finance Department.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Enter into Intacct monthly customer invoices, debit and credit memos. Receive and post accounts receivable payment. Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding amounts due.
- Performs credit card maintenance functions including but not limited to adding and removing cardholders. Handles monthly audit to ensure expenses are appropriately authorized and recorded. Enter monthly credit card bill into Intacct.
- Verifies and processes employee expense reports for payment ensuring appropriate approvals and supporting documentation are in place and in accordance with company policy.
- Completes accounts payable tasks, including receiving invoices, processing weekly check runs and helping to accrue monthly invoices as needed.
- Serves as backup support for payroll, reception and office administration team members.
- Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required, including but not limited to miscellaneous reporting and accounts processing.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent plus minimum of 2 years in Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable field or Finance administrative support position required.
- Casamba experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Accounting, financial analysis and compliance software beneficial.
- Strong Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook required.
- Strong Experience with Access and PowerPoint helpful.
- Must have strong organization and communication skills, with high attention to detail.
- Must work effectively in a team environment, exercise good judgment, and maintain confidentiality.
