Job Description

We are seeking an Accounting Clerk for our corporate office in Scottsdale. This individual will perform basic accounting duties including, but not limited to, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Bookkeeping, File Maintenance, Data Entry, Financial Statements, Report Building, and other related duties.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares purchasing, travel, personnel, or related documents.
  • Reconciles various expenditure reports to source documents.
  • Distributes and files financial documents and reports.
  • Opens and logs mail and assists in other clerical functions.
  • May arrange travel and meetings and coordinate office security and key control.
  • Sorts documents; codes, logs, and reviews for accuracy.
  • Matches supporting invoices to procurement documents and verifies invoices for payment.
  • Prepares routine entries and posts financial transactions; reconciles entries and internal ledgers to the financial reporting system.
  • Researches processing problems, contacts departments, and vendors to resolve issues and expedite payment, and responds to inquiries by telephone or email.
  • Assists in the preparation of financial statements such as billings, budgets, and cost reports.
  • Assists in ordering, care, maintenance, and utilization of department equipment, supplies, and inventories.
  • Maintains historical records.
  • Pays vendors by scheduling checks and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit.
  • Responding to all vendor inquiries regarding finance.
  • Prepares analyses of accounts and produces monthly reports.
  • Process adjustments and credits to customers' accounts.
  • Continues to improve the payment process.
  • Keeps information confidential.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.


Skills and Specifications:

  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment requiring flexibility and multitasking.
  • Background in bookkeeping, AP/AR, and financial reporting.
  • Experience with Quickbooks and Google Suite a plus
  • Able to work alone on a broad variety of projects and proficient at solving problems independently.
  • Proficient with computer programs such as QuickBooks and Google Sheets.
  • Expert typing and data entry skills.

Education and Qualifications:

  • High School or Associate's degree
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Accounting, Bookkeeping or equivalent role
  • Consistent work history
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Background Check required
