Job Description

Overview:

We are looking for a pleasant, punctual, energetic and experienced individual to fulfill our part-time position of Accounting Clerk in our Accounting Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
  • Perform payables, receivables and billing
  • Perform weekly payroll and manage deductions
  • Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
  • Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
  • Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
  • Daily entering of financial transactions in database
  • Provide assistance and support to company personnel
  • Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
  • Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
  • Constantly update job knowledge

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 2+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
  • Competency in MS Office, databases and QuickBooks Desktop
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Professionalism
  • Aptitude for numbers
  • Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
  • Data entry and word processing skills
  • Well-organized
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good time management and ability to prioritize workload
  • Self-reliant and highly motivated
  • Experience in paying and reporting state & federal taxes
  • Knowledgeable in HR
  • High school degree
  • Associate’s degree or relevant certification is a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
