Job Description

The Accounting Assistant is a member of the Accounting team and supports the Accounting Manager. Simple bookkeeping, counting money, answering phones, typing letters, communicating with customers, and a host of typical office duties will keep this person busy. Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors along with excellent organizational skills are important skills for this job. You must also be a person of high integrity and professionalism and have the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Accounting Assistant

Reports to Accounting Manager, hours are Monday through Friday 8-5

Requirements: Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors, great organization skills and the ability to handle sensitive/confidential information

  • Prepare store tills daily
  • Count and balance cash to Daily Cash Sheet
  • Enter ROA payments to Batch
  • Customer account maintenance; new account set up and maintenance
  • Trade reference requests for new accounts
  • Send welcome letters to new customers
  • AR account reconciliation; open credits/duplicate payments, past due invoices or finance charges
  • Review account credit applications renew PG’s within 3 years
  • Deliver mail to post office
  • Monitor CCB Licensing activities and expirations monthly
  • File and track Right to Liens
  • Send customer statements out monthly
  • Scan and match receiving documents
  • Complete vendor credit applications
  • Review and approve credit memos
  • Process Greenlight Report monthly
  • Complete confirmations
  • Scan Invoices
  • Confirm Vendor discounts are taken 100% of the time
  • Audit RNI reports monthly
  • Manage and record spiffs
  • Manage ODOT mileage, taxes, licensing and reporting quarterly
  • Head up safety coordination
  • Order office & first aid supplies biweekly
  • Purchase business apparel, name tags and business cards
  • Attend chamber meetings & other community events
  • Support plan scanning
  • Back up phones
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour

Education:
