Job Description

Summary:

Responsible for plant purchasing and record keeping for all purchasing activities. Oversight and management of all sources of supply, pricing information and auditing activates. Works closely with the plant production and maintenance teams to ensure adequate support for operational needs.


Job Functions:

  • Manage procurement activities.
  • Work with Requisitioner & Receivers/AP Team to resolve workflows.
  • Oversees cost and spending requests and coordinates with leadership on items in question.
  • Work with controller on proper GL & cost center recording.
  • Ensures purchasing and related functions are carried out in accordance with Division/Company policies, procedures, internal audit controls as well as legal and ethical requirements.
  • Remains available as needed to prepare and processes purchase orders when requested.
  • Perform ad-hoc research and projects as needed
  • Assist with various month-end duties and reporting
  • Assist with the Forecasting and Budgeting Processes
  • Provide weekly reporting on tracked metrics.

Background/Experience

  • 2 years minimum accounting experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, high level of Excel skill required
  • Experience with SAP a plus

Required Skills:

  • BA or BS required, Accounting preferred
  • Review/reconcile consignment inventories.
  • Strong computer skills - especially in Excel
  • On call availability during scheduled work days.
  • Action oriented and self-motivated with interest to learn and apply new skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills to find effective solutions
  • Excellent oral and written communication with all levels of organization
  • AP experience a plus!
