Accountant

The Kelly Group's corporate location in Decatur is looking for an experienced Accountant to add to its dynamic team. The Kelly Group founded in 1983 is a general contractor and sheet metal fabricator with five metal fabrication facilities across four states.

Key Responsibilities for the Accountant will include:

• Assist in all accounting operations based on accounting principals
• Assist with preparation of budget and financial forecasts
• Assist with balance sheet profit / loss statement, etc.

Other responsibilities for the Accountant position include but are not limited to:

• Work with finance team in preparation of budget and financial forecasts
• Lead team for month-end and year-end close process
• Use knowledge of sales taxes to assist Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable w/compliance
• Work with third party companies auditing business insurances
• Work with Insurance companies on Owner Controlled Insurance Program Audits (OCIP)
• Job cost analysis- i.e. overs/ unders, job contract revenue distribution
• Internal audits on processes to validate compliance to current regulations- i.e. sales tax

Desired Skills for the Accountant position include:

• Proven working experience as acost accountantor in arelevant field
• Thorough knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
• Accounting software and knowledge of Microsoft Office
