The Accountant position will be located at the Crestview, FL office. The Accountant will be responsible for performing a variety of Accounting duties in the Corporate Accounting Department.
Educational/Training Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar field.
- 10 + years’ experience in Accounting with an emphasis in government contracting.
- Working knowledge of Deltek Costpoint.
Job Duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handles month end trial balance reconciliations.
- Prepares 401K reconciliation in coordination with Human Resources each week.
- Books daily cash and reconciles the bank statements each month.
- Handles union dues and benefits reporting.
- Assists in filing monthly, quarterly, and yearly taxes and reports.
- Provides support in preparing material for audits for both DCAA and external auditors.
- Assists in year-end incurred cost submissions and indirect rate calculators.
- Performs various financial analysis and reporting activities.
- Assists with documenting accounting policies and procedures.
- Backs-up Payroll and Accounts Payable positions as needed.
- Does preliminary review of Accounts Payable coding and vouchers.
- Handle medical insurance allocations and reconciliations.
Experience:
Required Skills/Experience:
- Must possess good analytical skills.
- Must have strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask is critical
- Must have at least five year supervisory experience.
- Good computer skills, i.e., Word, Excel. etc.
- Good oral and written communication skills required.
- Data Gathering, Analysis, Corrective Actions, and Reporting.

- Office work environment.
- Noise level of work environment is relatively quiet.
- Equipment used: Computer and other office tools.
Physical Demands:
- Sedentary- involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for briefs periods of time. Exerts up 10 lbs. of force to lift, carry, push, or otherwise move objects.
- Job is mostly sedentary in nature with repetitive computer work required.
- Some walking and standing on a limited scale may be required.
- Limited lifting required. Less than 20 pounds.
