Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a candidate who applies principles of accounting and business acumen to analyze and report financial information. This function requires skills in accounting, business analysis and process improvement. The primary emphasis accounts payable to general ledger reconciliations, vendor setup and maintenance, month-end GL close processes, month-end accruals, wire/ACH processing and adjustments, audit appeals, and maintain AP aging reports. This candidate interfaces with team members, all levels of leadership, internal and external customers within the shared services organization. Prepares and builds reports, and develops metrics using a broad range of computer applications. The successful candidate will have an ability to thrive in an environment of rapid change; work effectively within cross-functional teams; will be highly resourceful; able to deliver strong results; have a passion for operational excellence and possess a strong set of communication and analytical skills.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Key Results Area:
  • Support the month-end close processes ensuring all financial deadlines are met. Prepare and post of monthly journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations. Assist with 1099-Misc tax process.
  • Review and build reports utilizing AX, Great Plains and Basware to monitor vendor balances and payment trends.
  • Support Accounts Payable Management in various projects or task necessary to meet departmental goals and objectives.
  • Assist with metrics, prepare reports and analyze financial information detailing for financial reporting to leadership team.
  • Support management on audits by coordinating with the Accounting department and Auditors to ensure expectations are met and audit schedules are completed timely.
  • Support management through ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and special projects as assigned.
  • Responsible for complying with established and published SOX requirements and making recommendations related to the improvement of the overall control environment.

Requirements
Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from a four-year college or university.
  • 2+ years of related experience and/or training
  • CPA, CMA a plus
  • Knowledge of accounts payable process desired.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Reasoning Skills

Ability to apply common sense and critical thinking to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have, at minimum, an advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Office. Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power Point experience required. Microsoft Dynamics AX, Hyperion, and Business Objects knowledge a plus.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements: Fast-paced corporate office environment. Some stress may occur. Regular travel is not expected in this position; however, travel around scheduled projects such as program rollouts may be necessary.
