  • Medical billing/collections experience required.
Experience Desired
  • Home Health billing/collections experience desired.

Qualifications:
  • Reviews credit balance aging on a daily basis to identify refunds and posting/adjustment errors.
  • Researches each account individually to obtain all supporting documentation to support the refund or posting/adjustment errors on a daily basis.
  • Completes all refund requests including G/L coding and supporting documentation to be submitted for approval by the Director of Revenue Cycle Management on a daily basis.
  • Submits approved refund requests to accounts payable weekly for check processing; a copy of the refund requests is retained in Revenue Cycle Management for follow-up.
  • Reconciles the copy of the refund request to the physical check when received from Accounts Payable; mails check with supporting documentation; and submits copies of such to Posting Team for entry into the application on a regular basis.
  • Resolves all customer requests, inquiries, and concerns in an expedient and respectful manner, on regular basis.
  • Problem solves independently before referring issues to a Supervisor/Manager for resolution on a regular basis.
  • Performs similar, comparable, or related duties as may be required or assigned.
