General description of position: Responsible for managing and growing existing accounts, as well as pushing for the penetration of our products into the designated market segments.

Essential duties & Responsibilities:
  • Identifies opportunities to achieve corporate sales goals, objectives, and action plans. Seeks new customer opportunities and supports current customer relationships.
  • Effectively communicates and presents SGD Pharma Leadership Position, Value and Product Portfolio.
  • Develops Market Segmentation matrix illustrating wants & needs of this segment, competitive positioning, market drivers, technology trends, market size, sub-segments. Maintains a global market perspective.
  • Develops short- and long-term forecasts, budgets, strategies, and marketing programs required to meet sales objectives.
  • Works with Product Development teams to develop products that will grow sales and profitability.
  • Provides input to assist in steering product development to the marketplace and toward customers' needs and opportunities.
  • Monitors and maintains Market Segmentation market size, market trends, and technology drivers.
  • Attends market specific tradeshows, state and regional shows, and territory seminars and reports on key market trends, customers, competitors, market drivers, and technologies.
  • Works with the marketing team to ensure that marketing tools such as catalogs and web presence (White papers, videos, infographics), etc., meet customer demand. Places a strong emphasis on product value proposition development for competitive differentiation and maximization of product profit.
  • Own all dimensions of the customer relationship in assigned territory and key accounts
  • Develops relationships within designated market segments with current customers, new prospects, and other decision-makers to ensure SGD Pharma products are validated as one of their glass packaging options
  • Drive revenue growth in new markets through lead generation, funnel development and execution, program management, and distribution channel management.
  • Achieve defined targets in sales and profits in assigned market
  • Provides customer service as necessary through frequent client visits, product application, and sizing, and informing customers of product changes.
  • Inputs relevant information into the CRM software to track contacts (pre & post calls), progress, including written reports concerning Market Segments, dealer, distributor, end user, and competitor information.
  • Participates in pricing negotiations and purchasing contracts as required.

Reports to: Sales Director, United States
Travel: Domestic and International as Required (up to 50%)

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in packaging, supply chain, business, business management, engineering, engineering technology, or a related field (required).
  • Having both technical and commercial fibers. Comfortable discussing technical concepts with internal and client’s technical people, as well as negotiating pricing and commercial terms with sourcing professionals
  • Team player, organized, quick learner
  • Comfortable in a multicultural, multilingual environment
  • Experienced Sales Manager: Positions available for Minimum of 1 - 3 years experience as well as a minimum of 3 – 5 years experience professionals in Pharma/Cosmetic/Food industry, Packaging industry is a plus.
Computer Skills
  • Very comfortable in Microsoft Office suite, (Excel, PowerPoint, Word),
  • Sales Force CRM and SAP experience is a plus
  • Quick learner
