Job Description
Major/Essential Functions
Performs Academic Advising, educational, professional, or other advanced Academic Advising or training at the individual or group level as appropriate.
Attends recruiting and advising events on behalf of the department. These may occur after-hours or on weekends.
Receive visitors to the department as well as answering the advising office phone as needed.
Generate information and data for the faculty, degree program coordinators, and department as needed.
Coordinate with the College of Arts & Sciences advising office when necessary.
Track students' academic progress and help them choose classes that will get them to their desired graduation goal.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; one year related experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with or interest in the education and profession of Psychology.
Experience advising in higher education.
Experience working with Banner software.
Previous customer service experience.
Occasional Duties
Serve on committees as requested.
Provide support to program and field directors as needed, including scanning, data entry, and file maintenance.
Help with Departmental events.
