We have an opportunity for a 3rd Shift Senior Production Supervisor to join our Hanover Park, IL team. Those who are interested in the role and meet the requirements below are encouraged to apply today!

You will:

  • Supervise production personnel to ensure the department achieves production plan according to customer demand.
  • Ensure work performance in accordance with OSHA Rules and regulations.
  • Lead VS with the highest level for safety and quality.
  • Be responsible in directing workforce with a consistent and fair manner.
  • Be able to maintain level of composure at all times and handle employee relations.
  • Be responsible for resolving personnel issues by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
  • Promote a culture of growth for employees. Develop performance development plans for direct reports and ensures training implementation.
  • Manage staffing levels by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts in production functions.
  • Support and maintain Process improvement to achieve Safety, Quality, and Delivery.
  • Cost, Cash (SQDCC) performance metrics.
  • Develop production schedules for the maximum utilization of available labor and equipment. Achieve production plan while achieving efficiency and productivity targets.
  • Train new employees and existing employees in all areas of departmental functions and job assignments.
  • Interpret, apply, and enforce company safety regulations and operating policies and procedures.
  • Identify unsafe conditions and report them to department team leader, supervisor, manager or EHS Coordinator.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other related field, preferred.
  • Minimum 3-year experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role and ability to work with people.
  • Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing techniques; such as Flow, Pull and Kanban.
  • JDE system knowledge required.

Physical & Mental Demands

Must be able to work extended hours and weekends. Must be able to adapt to stressful situations and complete projects under tight deadlines. Must be able to lift frequently 3.5 lbs. and infrequently 25 - 40 lbs. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and work weekday and weekends to meet business demands. Position also requires regular bending and reaching. Work environment is a plant with machine noise and lift truck traffic. Temperatures in plant vary by season.
