Position Summary:
The Production, Maintenance Technician will lead the day-to-day operations of all maintenance matters pertaining to the food production floor. In this position, the Production, Maintenance Lead must have a sound understanding of mechanical equipment as it pertains to food processing. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to lead.
Main Responsibilities/Duties:
· Ensures that all production line equipment is fully functional
· Manages parts inventory
· Places purchase orders for parts and other items necessary to keep production equipment running
· Reviews and updates preventive maintenance programs
· Identifies opportunities and implements actions to achieve efficiencies
· Contributes to consolidation, reduction, and rationalization of the equipment suppliers
· Responsible of leading a team of two to nine associates, including bi-weekly payroll auditing and approval
· Responsible for conducting periodic performance reviews with team
· Builds future leaders through the Maintenance department through coaching and mentoring
· Contributes to consolidation, reduction, and rationalization of the equipment suppliers
· Reports to the Production Maintenance Manager
· Supply of own tools to perform troubleshooting and repairs.
· Knowledge and experience in pneumatic machinery and troubleshooting. Automation experience a plus.
· Experience in electrical troubleshooting, repair, and diagnostics of Variable Frequency Drives and PLC’s used in 208v-480v systems.
· Ability to read and understand machinery schematics and wiring diagrams. Ability to read European wiring prints a plus.
· Responsible for breakdown and assembly of machinery.
· Experience in gas and electrical oven repair.
· Facility maintenance, heating/cooling, HVAC experience a plus.
Perform assigned duties with minimal supervision while maintaining OSHA safety compliance and SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
Should be knowledgeable and proficient in the use of:
- 3 to 5 years industrial maintenance exp
- Both AC and DC electrical exp
- Be able to weld and fabricate
- Must be able to trouble shoot plc
- Must be able to read mechanical and electrical blueprints.
- Must be able to work on pneumatics
Mechanical and/or Electrical engineering experience preferred.
Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
