The DuPont Field Engineering & Supply Chain Development Program provides young professionals and recent graduates with the opportunity to become catalysts for change-transforming industries and improving everyday life. With an accelerated approach to career development, the program combines immersive assignments with formal education, networking, mentoring and leadership exposure through on-the-job rotational experiences.
Participants are encouraged to forge their own path by rotating through a series of two-to-three-year assignments across different businesses, locations, and functions including Operations & Engineering, Global Procurement, and Science & Innovation. Successful engineering and supply chain candidates will complete a minimum of two assignments but may complete up to five. Complete geographic flexibility is required to enable a greater pool of possibilities and diversity of cross-functional experiences.

Position Specific Information
Our supply chain, logistics, and procurement specialists typically fill a variety of meaningful positions that provide opportunities for personal and professional development while contributing to DuPont through implementing procurement best practices, driving competitively advantaged supply of materials and services, and optimizing distribution networks. Examples are listed below.
Asset Scheduler - Accountable for day-to-day activities required to create and maintain detailed production/supply schedules based on the master scheduling input or established pull signals. Point person between the supply organization and plant to clearly define / understand short term production issues and supply needs between the organizations. Utilizes detailed capacity plans, and interfaces with area managers and supervisors and/or production teams.
Distribution Requirements Planner – Executes transactions and tracks movement of products associated with distribution requirement plans, including domestic movements and imports/exports. Ensures that international material movements and tracking information are consistent with regulatory requirements. Serves as the point of contact for issues related to efficient movement of material in support of minimum inventories and specified customer service level. Monitors metrics, conducts root cause analysis and takes corrective actions to address supply movement issues. Assists in resolution of issues related to supply, carrier, ordering and other supply chain issues to execute the distribution requirements plan.
Material Planner – Accountable for the formal planning and execution of all tactical level processes required to secure and manage raw materials, packaging materials, and semi-finished materials, based on a forward looking production plan. This includes scheduling and managing delivery, storage, staging, and movement of materials. Responsible to create and maintain plans for the acquisition of parts and materials confirm resource availability.
Demand Coordinator – Responsible for daily activities required to generate the demand forecast. Uses forecast tools. Responsible for compiling raw input, historical data, and trend information to deliver raw forecast and market input for further refinement via the sales and operations planning process
Business Process Specialist - Provides analysis, input and collaborates on business process improvements. May develop and run reports and analysis from various systems. Provides program coordination. Maintains program schedules. Researches and analyzes program issues. Recommends solutions. Coordinates appropriate resources as needed.
Procurement Process Improvement Specialist - Supports the development of procurement business processes, strategies, and plans in a project team environment by collecting and manipulating data quickly and efficiently, conducting analysis, and communicating key findings and insights for additional business process improvements. Uses project management tools to solve problems and implement improvements that support the overall end-to-end business process.
Preferred Skills
We are seeking candidates that have a passion for exploring cross-functional assignments within Global Procurement, Supply Chain, and Integrated Operations. Successful candidates have demonstrated leadership capabilities, are creative problem solvers, have an intellectual curiosity, and thrive in ambiguity.
Other preferred skills include six sigma green belt certification (or willingness to become certified in the first 24 months), digital data fluency, experience building sustainable customer relationships, business acumen, program management, and process improvement.
Program and Position Requirements
The DuPont Field Engineering & Supply Chain Development Program seeks top talent. To be considered for enrollment, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Pursuing or hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Supply Chain/Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or Business from an accredited institution
- GPA of 3.0 or higher (out of 4.0 scale)
- Preferred minimum of 6 months of paid co-op or internship equivalent experience in supply chain management, procurement, logistics, engineering, operations management, or related fields
- Maximum of 3 years of full-time industry work experience
- 100% geographic flexibility to allow for best career development fit
- Willingness to relocate to a new location every 2 to 3 years
- A four-year company commitment to complete a minimum of two assignments (usually 18-24 months per assignment)
- Legal right to work in the United States without restriction
- No visa sponsorships
