Primary job duties of our General Laborers include using knives to cut fresh pork products, packaging the meat, labeling items, palletizing shipments, and retrieving frozen products. Job duties:
The following positions are conducted on the Kill Floor/Harvesting:
- Hog Pusher- Pushing hogs from Cooler 1 to Cooler 2.
- Wash Gamble- Wash hooks before hogs are placed on hooks.
- Shaven & Toe Nail Remover- Shave the belly of the hog, pull toenails, and removing reminder of hair off the shoulders of the hog (Task require a knife to fulfill).
- Shackle Table- Placing a chain on the hind foot of the hog to go through processing. (Require Continuous Lifting).
- Gamble Table- Cut into the hind foot of hog to insert the gamble (Task require a knife to fulfill).
- Fat Puller- Removing the belly fat.
- Ears & Eye Remover- Removing ears and eyes (Task require a knife to fulfill).
- Head Table-Remove jaws, tongue, and skin from head (Task require a knife to fulfill).
- Gutter- Removing the fires and viscera (Task require a knife to fulfill).
- Final Rail- Spinal Cord removal & Strap Belly (Special utensil required).
- Head Dropper- Cut the head off the body of the hog (Task require a knife to fulfill)
- USDA Trimmer- Helping USDA trim inedible parts off carcass (Task require a knife to fulfill).
- Hog Driver- Guiding hogs to utilization.
- Cleaning during and after production.
- Perform all other task assigned by Harvesting Supervisor.
To qualify for this job you must have:
- Flexibility with work hours, in general
- Have strong attention to detail
- Understand and follow verbal and written instruction in Spanish or in English
- Punctual with great attendance
- Ability to satisfy physical requirements (see below)

- The work environment will include cold temperatures between 50? to 10? (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals. Villari Foods will provide cold-weather gear to you.

- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds
